Sure an oil or grease access into the bearing ..

Well it's not the best quality picture,but it does note a tapped entry into the bearing through the peddle arm for a drop of oil or a grease fitting take you pick. It's likely it will extend to bearing life slightly on the Sick Bike Parts kits.

Sure well if you can imagine needing to get a drop of oil in through a small access to the bearing I'd guess a slight amount from time to time is an idea that could increase the bearing life but cross drilling a hole into the bearing to finish up this task can't be done with an 18 volt battery drill so I'll only access the bearing from the inside without tipping the bike on it's side to oil the bearing on occasion. Yeah sounds like a waste of time should be a grease fitting in the assembly.
